One Team, One Heart: SM Retail Head Office Employees Give the Gift of Life

By SM Retail / November 05, 2025

Employees from SM Retail Headquarters participated in the recent blood donation drive in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross.

Every drop of blood donated is a gift of life. Spearheaded by our Medical Services Team in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, this initiative shows how our employees are making a difference, starting from within the workplace to give back to the community.

183 employees from SM Retail Headquarters participated in the blood donation drive, collectively contributing an impressive 82,350 cc of blood. Their selfless contribution reflects the spirit of volunteerism and underscores their commitment to saving lives while promoting community health and well-being.

Held bi-annually, the blood donation drive offers our employees a meaningful opportunity to extend hope to patients requiring it. This simple yet powerful act of service exemplifies the compassion and volunteerism that SM Retail employees proudly embody.

Many eagerly signed up to participate, with each volunteer completing a thorough medical screening to confirm they were healthy and qualified to donate. This careful process safeguards donor well-being and ensures every unit of blood collected can help save lives.

Together, our collective efforts bring comfort, hope, and second chances to countless patients who depend on these life-saving donations.
